Early years
Skaala was founded in 1956 by Mr. Otto Hautanen as a local carpentry manufacturer producing a variety of joinery products. Over the early years Skaala produced items like ironing boards and garden furniture. During the 1960’s windows and doors were taken into production as well and the next decade was an era that established the direction of what Skaala is today.
In the 1970’s the significance of windows and doors in Skaala’s production grew stronger and Otto’s two older sons, Hannu and Jarmo, joined the business. |
