Skaala opened a new factory
Skaala has opened a new factory for export window production. New unit will significantly increase the total capacity of production volume and gathers the most of other export operations, such as production planning, logistics services and part of the sales organisation, together.
Skaala bought the facility in 2007 after which it went through a major renovation. Production layout as well as the office areas had to be fitted for window manufacturing purposes.
Skaala has invested about 3 million euros in export functions within the last couple of years. In addition to the new factory, the company has strengthened its sales organisations in Sweden and England.
Despite the economical downturn, Skaala believes that there is a great potential in renovation markets. The company expects to see over a 10 % growth in turnover in 2009.
