Skaala now offer Passive House standard windows & door-sets
We are now able to offer Fully Reversible and Tilt & Turn Timber windows complete with Aluminium Cladding to external face down to a U Value of 0.8 W/(m²K). This has been independently tested at VTT Expert Services Ltd in Sweden and is based on a window 1230 x 1480mm. External Door-sets are available down to a U Value of 0.5 W/(m²K). Other window style are available down to a U Value of 0.7 W/(m²K).
One of the main problems with low U value windows in cold weather is the condensation build up on the glass. Skaala have overcome this by developing and patenting a Frost Free glazing solution, enabling the glass to remain clear in all weathers.
